I AM...

...inspired WOW... I never thought I would say this but a current project at uni I initially hated is allowing me to discover new exciting amazing things... I think I might actually like it. I've been keeping an eye on 'Swatch MTV playground' for a while and recently discovered the student winner of the 'Remember Tomorrow' competition. Clemens Behr of Germany is fantastic! These fun, graphic installations have popped up in loads of places and they are all so individual and stylistic they are recognisable as one persons. Please go have a peek at the website too kits simple clear and visual! http://www.clemensbehr.com/ The illustration amazing aswell.

Them Crooked Vultures...

I have been trying to upload this video from youtube for ages but unfortunately it doesn't work, surprise surprise a computer not working for me! So hear you go five of (in my opinion) the best shots. In an unexpected way this is better that posting a video because it really gives me a chance to look at the layout. The 'supergroup' Them Crooked Vultures (Dave Grohl- Foo Fighters, Josh Homme- Queens of The Stone Age, John Paul Jones- Led Zeppelin) really know how to keep they're fans hanging on, with cryptic videos/emails/website I love the whole concept. In the 30 second video they posted on Youtube I love the stylistic approach they have used especially the layout and use of perspective. I cannot find out anywhere who did the artwork/illustration/animation but hopefully there is more to come.

Prada Perfection

What I want for christmas is a Prada Limited-Edition Eveningwear Dress... (pleeeease)

Everytime I read the article above I am always remeinded just how beuatiful, intriquite and subtle fashion can be. I will never throw away this magazine. The 'Observer Fashion Supplement, Issue 3: Summer 06' produced by TANK is battered and bruised but is still tucked away in my bookshelf! The Prada Limited-Edition Eveningwear dress pictured above is something that simply inspires me... equisite materials, delicate techniques it is something that embodies quality and laughs in Primark's face. And stylist Chloe Kerman certainly knows when a garment can do all the talking. Simply spectacular.

WOW WOW WOW

I officially LOVE waterstones, browsing through their clearance sale I found a copy of 'Blood on Paper' published alongside the exhibition 'Blood on Paper - the Art of the Book' at the V&A that ran from April to June 2008. I can definitely say it is one of the most exciting books I own (well on a par with 'Skin + Bones') it is gorgeous, and so ironic! The price even more so at £13.50 that is 70% off for it being a bit grubby on the outside but pristine inside... and it is out of print. I will try and get some photographs up soon. My day has officially been made check out the exhibition a tad more at http://www.vam.ac.uk/collections/contemporary/bloodonpaper/index.html. LOVE IT!
